With friends visiting we had plenty of reasons to go out in the past two weeks. And we’re delighted to have dined at two very, very dog-friendly restaurants.
The first time we dined at Kerridge’s Bar and Grill at The Corinthia Hotel in London was with my friend, Victoria and her dad. Do you remember that Victoria always borrowed me on weekends because she couldn’t have a dog? That was before she had moved to Milan and now she has her own dog, Togo. We will meet him in a few weeks!
Last week, Missy and I had a date night with Mum and her friends Sandra (back from Ibiza) and Liz (visiting from D.C.). The staff at Corinthia London are always pleased to welcome us.
When you have a chance to dine at this fine Bar & Grill, take note of the restaurant’s logo on the waiters’ lapels as well as on the napkin holders. It is a paw print of Tom Kerridge’s dog – Georgie!!!! Fab name!
Georgie was a boxer and he managed to leave his paw print on the wet concrete of Tom’s restaurant The Hand and Flowers! (only pub with two Michelin stars) – and they have decided that it would make a fabulous logo for his first restaurant in London!
With a logo and a story like that, you can imagine this would be dog-friendly – and it is! And there’s a drinks menu with my name on it! Er, well, I know it was the other Georgie but we can pretend.

And while our friend Liz was visiting, the next place we showed her was Brasseria in Notting Hill.
We liked it so much we were back again over the weekend – this time with Little Tyke. And he liked it too!
Brasseria Notting Hill is a family run, elegant all day Italian restaurant. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. “… the food is reliably good, with a menu that flits all over Italy. No regional monogamy here, just old-fashioned crowd pleasers and greatest hits, something for every whim and desire.” And very dog friendly. 290 Westbourne Grove, London W11 2PS

Both Kerridge’s Bar & Grill and Brasseria Notting Hill were so dog-friendly! Love the story behind Kerridge’s logo and the dog biscuits at Brasseria.
