“Lady D” for a morning

IMG_2207

I was doing a demonstration of a Pet Angel brush at QVC’s Pampering Pets and the presenter kept calling me Lady Darcy!

Maybe it has something to us being at Windsor just last Saturday. Mummy was trying really hard to keep a straight face but when asked – she did tell the presenter I was only a Miss Darcy. Not quite Lady – yet!

This was my fourth appearance at QVC’s Pampering Pets.IMG_2169 We have a dressing room where we can sit and chill – we usually have to be there at least two hours before our segment airs – live!IMG_2193 But it’s more social to sit in the Green Room – as you can see, we were early!IMG_2174And I snooped around to see if there were any treats.IMG_2181This is Mario, my co-presenter of Pet Angel – we’ve done this together each time – so had some bonding time before going on air.IMG_2183 There were other doggies there. This is Maisie. She is 11 years old and still working. That’s because she’s a lot more mellow than her sister – who is a bit too feisty to stay cool for the telly.IMG_2184 Here she is on telly!IMG_2236 And there was Dexter – IMG_2237 He was demonstrating the Thunder shirts.IMG_2243 I was called in to do a little teaser with the presenter, ClaireIMG_2200I just had to pose …
IMG_2213 But there were a lot of treats lying around that distracted my focus! 🙂IMG_2208This was when she kept calling me Lady Darcy.

Back to the Green Room and I could sniff some treats!IMG_2226 Those Millington’s treats do smell very, very tasty. I’ve never had them before.IMG_2196Finally it was time to get to work. This is the Pet Angel brush we’re demonstrating.IMG_2232 Mario led the way …IMG_2233 But I know where we’re going …IMG_2234 Studio B is where we always goIMG_2223We were getting ready – we’re on nextIMG_2240 Even Mario had to make sure his hair is in place. After all – he’s from Richard Ward, so he must be presentable.IMG_2241I loved being brushed with the Pet Angel, it feels like being stroked. I was so relaxed I started to lay down and almost did a poo pose – but Mummy somewhat stopped me.  She did not want me expose myself on air!

After our session, we hurried back to the Green Room to check the results – look at that peak in sales – that’s our work!  Hooray!
IMG_2246May’s comment: I think it’s because you are such a lady!  And once again you did well!  So proud of you, MISS Darcy!

Next time we know not to use treats – it’s too distracting. She would have been fine just sitting still.

  1. You are indeed a ‘lady’. Would like to get one of those brushes. Wonder if they ship to Canada?
