LIGHT UP THE WORLD FOR ORPHAN PETS
Changing just one mind can save a life.
I was once an orphan pet but someone rescued me from the Killing Station. I ended up in a shelter and then Hungary Hearts Dog Rescue got me to the UK. And because Mum changed her mind after she saw me, I now belong to a family.

Just like our friends who have been adopted – Jeb, DeDe, Blaze and Buxton …

We are the lucky ones.
Did you know that over 1 Million pets are euthanized annually? That number has consistently decreased in the last decade. It is proven that the more awareness we bring to orphan pets results in:
- Adoptions Increasing
- Euthanasia Decreasing
- Puppy Mill Sales Decreasing
There are still hundreds of thousands of pets who are in rescue centres, shelters and even Killing Stations – and we need to continue to shine a light on this. So today we will join the rest of the world on Remember Me Thursday® to shine a light on their plight.

Changing just one mind can save a life.
May’s comment: We will be uniting with pet-lovers around the world on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 9am PST or 4pm GMT, to shine a light on orphan pets waiting in shelters and rescues for forever homes.
Since it’s inception, Remember Me Thursday® has touched over 1 billion people across the world by advocating for pet adoption. Rescue pets have a profound impact on our lives and to remember them, we launched our annual Remember Me Thursday® contest to give back to the organizations who perform life-saving work!
