Rockster is in Heaven

When you look up at the clear skies tonight, be sure to see a ‘Rock Star’ up there!

Beautiful friend. There comes a time when we have to say ‘so long, for now.’

We heard of your passing yesterday and our hearts are broken.

We cannot imagine how your family must be feeling.

It was a pleasure to have met you almost four years ago at Pet Pavilion – and we met your parents, and learnt about your amazing story of second chance and their immense love for you.

You’re a legend, Rockster. We will continue to see your beautiful face on the Super Foods that you have inspired. And every time we do, we will look Heaven-ward and think of you.

Till we meet again, Rockster.

If we can we would put a HUGE band-aid on your family’s shattered hearts.

May’s comment: From Rockster’s family …

“… it is with shattered hearts that we share with you that our incredible Rockster left us and our world yesterday at midday, peacefully at home in London, surrounded by his family. 
 
In his last moments he ate his favourite recipe, Sunday Roast.

He was one of the oldest dogs alive in the world, around 21 yrs old, and the beating heart of our little family since it began on our honeymoon over 16yrs ago.  He rescued us in every way and there are no words to thank him enough for every moment of those precious years and God, for bringing a guardian angel into our lives.

He lives on in so many ways and in so many hearts, even if ours are broken right now. We are so moved by all the messages across social media, from around the world, by so many people who met him over the years and from those who have fed their dogs the superfood he inspired and rocked their world too.  
 
His legacy to the world is his superfood and the health of all dogs lucky enough to enjoy products that are worthy of bearing his name and Sophie de Carvalho’s wonderful painting of his face.  Maybe even to change transparency within an industry that so desperately needed change.
 
His legacy is also as a beacon of hope to all dogs in need of a home, that sometimes dreams do come true – most of all to those families who rescue them.
 
That a street dog from Napoli can become a hero. Even a legend.
 
To our Rock, our incredible Rockster, thank you for rescuing us right back.  We owe you everything. Your spirit will run through all that we and anything that bears your name does.
 
Just as St Rock is the Patron Saint of Dogs, our beloved Rockster has been our patron saint since the day we were lucky enough to find him in “the Home of Dreams’ on 25^th May 2004.  He now watches over us from heaven, as he does you and your beloved dogs too.
 

Our thoughts are with you Sven, Zoe, Balthazar and Clementine. Sending you healing love. We hope you find solace in knowing you gave him a second chance and all the love he so deserved.
