This is such a sweet story.
Rex the German Shepherd was a dangerous rescue dog. He was very, very vicious. He would bark and growl at anything that passed. He ate wild rabbits. The humans thought he was out of control and thought they needed to put him down,
Until he met Geraldine the goose. And he fell in love!!!
Rex immediately mellowed and the two became inseparable.
They like nothing more than going for a walk in the woods and snuggle down to sleep together in Rex’s bed every night. She just runs around alongside him all day long and whenever the owners take him for a walk in the woods Geraldine has to come too.
They are very affectionate – he’s always licking her head and kissing her. She snuggles into him and they sleep together every night.
“Normally any bird that crossed his path would have been eaten by now, he’s that kind of dog, but not Geraldine” said Sheila Brislin, who runs the Puriton Horse and Animal Rescue, near Bridgwater, Somerset.
As Little Tyke would say – “so sweet” and I hope they live happily ever after for many years together.
