May’s comment: To all fur-baby mummies, especially those who have only fur-babies, we wish you a happy Mothering Sunday. Only we know they are like our children.
In the UK, Mothering Sunday is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of Lent. This year it is on the March 6th.
Inspired by Anna Jarvis from Philadelphia who campaigned to make mother’s day and official day in the US calendar, Constance Smith founded the Mothering Sunday Movement in the UK.
In the U.S. it is celebrated on the third Sunday of May. Many other countries have also adopted this tradition on the same day.
However, the French celebrate ‘Maman’s’ special day on the last Sunday of May. In Spain, it is both a day to pay tribute to mothers and to Virgin Mary and is celebrated on the 8th of December.

I didn’t know when Mother’s Day was celebrated in Great Britain! Happy Mother’s Day! Being the mother of fur babies is the greatest pleasure of all!
Happy mothers day May. I’m sure if they could MissD and Georgeous would spoil you silly on Mothers day. But who needs material gifts when a lick to the face says everything that needs to be said, everyday, not just Mother’s Day?
