Shaggy Dog

IMG_3220

There once was a shaggy mutt! His name is George!

Yesterday he had a proper full groom four months since he came to live with us last September.  This was taken the day when we took him to see Niki at The Pet Spa – IMG_4027He looked a little uncertain then.

But today, he stood still while they discussed the length of his coat which has grown considerably.  Mummy says he has “spiky” shoulders …IMG_3211And his chest was too hairy. I think Mummy says she doesn’t like men with such hairy chest! 🙂

George loved all the attention.IMG_3219No Georgie! You little rascal! No sticking out your tongue at Niki!IMG_3218Niki told us that he loves to be groomed. He would stand very still and let’s Niki do whatever she needed to do.

We weren’t surprised. Even when Mummy washes him, he stands very still in the bathtub. He doesn’t mind the blow dryer. He doesn’t mind being combed – he soaks in all the attention.  I think he actually appreciates being clean.

A couple of hours later, he was ready to meet Mummy.IMG_3222 How do I look, he said with a big grin! I think he was really pleased.IMG_3227Thank you Niki!

IMG_4277-580x435-4We needed to even him out so he was cut quite short.IMG_4079-580x435
I wanted to let his hair grow and see what he looks like.  This was him before the hair cut.IMG_3173And this is him today after his first proper groom four months since he arrived. IMG_3274So proud of him,
