Should we choose black or should we choose black?

Some days, I feel like life is one big blur.  I have bonding days with Mummy dearest but yesterday was a little confusing. 

I waited very patiently for Mummy as she sat trying on new Birkenstocks.  You see, she already has a black patent one strap in black. She told the Sales Assistant that she has a neuroma in her foot and when she walks for a long time in them, as in walking her dogs, her feet hurts. So she needed something that gives more support. So we’re in the market for a two strap pair. To further complicate decision making, she bought one in navy.  She and Little Tyke had matching pairs.She chose navy because it wasn’t so strong and heavy as black. I think she just wanted hers and Little Tyke’s to match.

Should she get something more neutral and summery?“Nope! Looks too earthy,” she said.

“How about these black classics?” asked the Sales Assistant“Don’t you think they look too similar to the navy?” Mummy asked

(Lordy-lord!)

“Let’s try the patent leather ones?”“A bit too flashy?”

“What do you think, George? Patent or matt?”
 Zzzzzzzzz – was my answer.

I went to the Sales Assistant to make him feel better and whispered in his ear …“Please help her make a decision and get me out of here!”

May’s comment: Ok, wise guy! Mummy has a neuroma on her foot so she needed a Birkenstock with more support so she can walk you two better with!Walking long distances with these are hurting my feet, needing too much gripping. Already have a pair in navy – so made it so much more difficult to go for the basic classics. But in the end I did end up with …The classic Arizona matt leather.  Sigh! What about those patent leather ones?
