The BIG 3!

IMG_4088

Inspired by the TV series This is Us …

First came Mum – she had just left the corporate world, didn’t have a dog and never thought of getting one.

Los Angeles, September 2009 – last days of being Corporate Chick!

And she said, “WHEE!” As in – I am free!

Less then two years later, came, “ME!”

June 2011 – a few weeks after my arrival

And Mum said, “GEE!” (As in GEEZ! My life has changed forever! Holy Cow!)

She grew to like me … 😉

But three years later, then came George and he said, “It’s ME!”

September 2014

And Mum said, “THAT’S THREE!” (As in O-M-G – what have I just done?)

THIS IS US … THE BIG THREE!

Happy Gotcha Day, Georgie!!!! You complete us – we are the BIG THREE!!!

May’s comment: Who knew that this little rat/monkey/rascal would become such a big part of our lives. On 18 September, 2014 – we set eyes on each other. We call it our “Meetcha Day.” I was going to foster him till he had a home, but it took all of two days for me to re-consider and a week to sort out all the thinking going on in my head. Since Hungary Hearts Dog Rescue had already done the home check for fostering, there was just the formality of signing the adoption papers. Finally on the 25th September, I signed the adoption papers and George Hamish officially became mine.

Though he had eyes for all other hoomans who came his way because he knew not what it meant to belong, he eventually did come to realise, about three years later, that he belonged to us. And of late, he’s been such a Mummy’s boy.

Here are our original stories of how Bobo aka George, almost Hamish came to stay forever:

Bobo’s coming to stay

The First Day of my New Life

Bobo’s First Outing

A Promise

And yes, big fan of This Is Us … binge watched Seasons 1-3 and then Season 4 while in self-isolation. Season 5 premieres on the 10th November in the States and apparently on Amazon Prime in the UK! Woohoo!!!
