Into the deep, dark woods with the Tykes

The Tykes took a stroll in the deep, dark woods …

and there was no fox, no owl, no snake, not even a mouse we met (or maybe there was), and definitely no Gruffalo – just some squirrels.

A brief departure from the paved paths at Chiswick House.But the Tykes thought it was an adventure of a lifetimeThey saw really big treesAny maybe Mini Tyke needed me to protect herShe was very glad I was there with themAnd she said, “Take a photo of me with Darcy – on my own.”Back onto paved and curated pathsAnd the kiddies wanted to feed the ducks and geese – I wasn’t so sure it was a good idea.You see what I mean? They came on land!And started moving in on Little Tyke.Better not to tempt them, I’d say.

May’s comment: One of my favourite parks – Chiswick House and Garden. Very dog- friendly. There are a few areas where they need to be on the lead – in the maze gardens and where the cafe is. Obviously they are not allowed in the children’s playground.
