Time to get back to work, Mona!

So much had been put on hold for weeks and months.

But now the Prime Minister said things are on the move again.

This was the last Corona Virus news briefing – last Tuesday

Starting next weekend – restaurants will be opening with social distancing guidelines.

The table and chairs at Chicama have reappeared – they have an outside dining area.

Some were a little impatient and have already started putting tables and chairs outside their restaurants.

At Frantoio on King’s Road – not a lot of social distancing there!

Quite a few of the non-essential shops have been open for a couple weeks now.

And there were new items for sale that were not there before lockdown.

Mum had to run an errand at Harrods – and she saw all these signage throughout the store.

And hand sanitises everywhere!

All the above are easing their way back to some form of new normality, but when she saw the manager of a nearby hair salon cleaning his store windows, that was what made Mum really excited.

She is now waiting for confirmation that she has a hair appointment next Saturday! She hasn’t taken any photos of herself lately but let’s say, it’s something along the line of this …

So Mona, time to get back into position as Museums are opening too! But alas, Mona is in Paris so she might already be back to work.

May’s comment: These are some of the funnies from the Lockdown.

And this is what the hallway ledge look like these days …

Hand sanitiser gel for all visitors, face coverings ready to go (along with poo bags) and a KeySmart …

This is one of my new gadgets … KeySmart

A safe way to avoid contaminated surfaces! It can be used on all touchscreens and used to push buttons and pull open most door handles! Such a great gadget!

The following is from the BBC website:

  • More outdoor spaces will open if they can do so safely, including outdoor gyms and children’s playgrounds
  • Hairdressers will be able to reopen, as long as they take precautions. Other close-contact services such as nail bars will not yet open, but the prime minister said they would be able to open “as soon as we’re confident they can operate safely”
  • Libraries, community centres, bingo halls, cinemas, museums and galleries will be able to open, along with funfairs and theme parks, amusement arcades, outdoor skating rinks, social clubs and model villages
  • Places of worship will be able to open for prayers and services, including weddings with up to 30 guests – subject to social distancing. Singing will not be permitted (LOL!!!!)

  1. I wish life could continue in Mona’s style post-lockdown – with a bit more time to put our feet up (and I love that George & Darcy made it to the Louvre to see her!) xxx

  2. I’m so glad things are starting to open for you! I hope people don’t abuse it, and the UK ends up like us here I. The U.S.!
    Be Safe!
