Tuesdays come around very quickly so it’s Tongue out Tuesday again – the perfect day to wear the iconic Tongue and Lips Rolling Stone logo!

Just in case we didn’t feel like sticking out our tongue – the bandana will do it for us.
May’s comment: Never heard of Tongue Out Tuesday till we joined Instagram! At first thought – isn’t it rude to stick out your tongues? By human standards, yes! Or just being cheeky. Apparently not. LOL!
Of course all dogs stick their tongues out – it’s normal. It helps them to cool down.
When a dog pants, moisture is created by their breath which evaporates and cools the tongue down, which cools the blood down, thereby cooling their entire body down.
Or it is just pure relaxation.
Sometimes this endearing trait of sticking their tongues out all the time, whether it is just the tip, or hanging out of the sides of their mouths is exactly that – a hanging tongue syndrome.
It can be because of breed type where their tongues may be too large for the oral cavity, usually amongst shirt faced breed, or due to an overbite or underbite. It can also be a signal of underlying health issues. But the main concern of Hanging Tongue System is a dried out tongue.
So what has become a popular # on Instagram is just something natural for us – it’s not a special trick.
As for that most iconic Hot Lips logo, or the Rolling Stones Records logo, or simply the Rolling Stones logo, is a logo designed by the English art designer John Pasche in 1970.
Mick Jagger had commissioned John, who was then an art student at the Royal College of Art in London. Jagger had shown Pasche a picture of Kali, the Hindu goddess, which includes a very pronounced mouth and a long tongue sticking out. While Jagger was “more interested in the Indian nature of it,” John instead picked up on the tongue and mouth.

So while it a popular connection of the logo to Mick Jagger’s signature lips and tongue, it really was inspired by Kali.
It also spells of rebellion and sexuality and everything rock-n-roll about it.
They can be found emblazoned on everything – as evidenced by my t-shirt from the 2012 Rolling Stones Tour!

I thought it would be funny for Darcy and George to have a bandana with the Hot Lips logo on it – just in case they decide not to stick their tongues out on a Tuesday.
