Dog Gone Films

Picture house Cinema is showing Adventures of Greyfriars Bobby as part of their series of canine films.h-HO00003729-2But we will be allowed to go with Mummy on Wednesday for a special Dog Screening for “Heart of a Dog”

May’s comment: Picturehouse Central will host Dog Gone Crazy! – a season of iconic films all about our canine friends.  And dogs are allowed to go to the film screening of “Heart of a Dog” on Wednesday, 11th May

This is a trial to see if it works for them to allow dogs into the cinema, as in the cleaning-up afterwards, not so much of dog pee but also the hair left behind – to disinfect the place for other humans who are allergic to dogs.

Some people ask – why would you want to take your dogs to the cinema. For me, I always enjoy the challenge of pushing boundaries because I just think – why not? OK, had a big discussion yesterday with a hotel who allocated sub-standard rooms to dog owners because they wanted all humans (plus those with dog allergies) to have the choice of best rooms and not be limited by rooms where dogs have been. Fair enough but I am made to feel second best. My issue, I suppose. 🙂

For others whose dogs have separation anxiety, they simply can’t leave their canine friends at home to go to the movies. In London, there are many places to take dogs, whether going to the shops, or to dine out – even white table cloth restaurants allow dogs. So adding movies to the list of dog-friendly things to do in London – hooray! It just means we are less restricted for having dogs in our lives.

  1. I’m with you on the sub standard hotel room!! It puts me off taking Harry with me to dog friendly hotels. Our dogs are better behaved and cleaner than a lot of hoomans! ?
