In a week’s time, we are “sleeping ruff” so others don’t have too.
Just like we did last year, we will be giving up our warm, comfy bed and sleeping out at the Duke of York Square.
We are doing this to raise funds to help individuals in our community find shelter and support to help them get off the streets.
We hope the weather will get better than it has been this past week – that said, the homeless don’t get to choose what the weather brings.
I will be there regardless of the elements and joining others in sleeping out but we are unsure if Mum will. She said there’s something about her foot getting wet if it rains.
So will you support me and Team Sleeping Ruff as we raise awareness of the plight of the homeless – and to raise money to help charities give shelter to them.
May’s comment: The Glass Door Homeless Charity partners with churches to give shelter and support, because no one should have to sleep on the streets of London, or anywhere. They work tirelessly to provide warmth and shelter for those who have fallen on hard times … never judging or turning away those in need.
