May’s comment: Christmas is always full of lights, merriment and extravaganzas. I love Christmas for both it’s meaning and for what it makes people. Everyone just seems nicer in some ways.
Last Christmas I was beside myself with glee – having had the opportunity to show Sasha the Christmas from the eyes of the child in me! One of the things we did was to visit Winter Wonderland. It is a dog friendly fair. One of the first rides we came across was the reindeer gallop, and I thought – I’m doing this with Darcy! I didn’t know how she would react and fearful she could have freaked out, but she sat with me as still as can be – probably thinking – what on earth is this all about but let’s just entertain Mummy.
It was truly one of the funniest and happiest moments of my life – I had the biggest grin all the way through. As we got off an American tourist said to me – I would pay you to go on it again just so I could video it! We didn’t though. Oh so tempted!
We did not make it to Winter Wonderland this year – two pooches has it’s limitations!
