I went with Mummy to vote today. Mummy moved to the UK in the early 90’s for work. She was became a citizen a few years later and she is proud to be British. She takes her voting rights very seriously. 🙂
And I,
by going along with her, gave her my backing because you know we dogs don’t have a voice in these matters.
George didn’t go into the polling station because he’s well, a newbie, but many still considers him a “Hungarian refugee”. You’re getting there George. One day people will stop calling you that and you’ll be just one of us. It took Mummy a few years to become British.
Maybe that’s why Mummy gave him a very English name to integrate him.
Churchill, with a name like that, we know which party he’s in! LOL! If only he could vote. 🙂
We’ve said our bit and now we just wait for the results … God help the hoomans!
Mummy said she was really pleased that I was with her – yes, dogs are allowed inside the polling station where we vote. Mummy said, I helped to make her feel a little better just being there for her.
P.s. We liked having a “May” in Number 10. Hope that wasn’t short-lived. 🙂
May’s comment: I’ve casted my vote – one lone voice. The British people are deciding our future, the future of our country.
I promised myself I shall not think about any more. I shall not stay up to watch the results, no TV tonight. The last two times I did, they were long, sleepless nights (#Brexit and #USElections). Tonight, I shall dine with friends, drink wine and toast to our future, walk the dogs and to remind myself – we will survive whatever happens. #keepcalmandcarryon
But I beg, please no more voting again for a very long time. I can’t stand the campaigning season. Such rhetoric!!!

Well said May, it is time for some stability and time to move forward. I too hate all of the campaigning, which seems to focus more on how to make low blows to the opponent than sharing any really important information. Lola and I went together early this morning, she sat under the desk in the booth and looked at me intently with very serious eyes as if recognizing the significance of the event!
Isn’t it so. I have never felt so sad going to the polls.
