Yes, we know. You told us so! LOL!

Happy Mother’s Day

May’s comment:

In the UK, Mothering Sunday is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of Lent. This year it is on the 11th of March.

Inspired by Anna Jarvis from Philadelphia who campaigned to make mother’s day and official day in the US calendar, Constance Smith founded the Mothering Sunday Movement in the UK.

In the U.S. it is celebrated on the third Sunday of May. Many other countries have also adopted this tradition on the same day.

However, the French celebrate ‘Maman’s’ special day on the last Sunday of May. In Spain, it is both a day to pay tribute to mothers and to Virgin Mary and is celebrated on the 8th of December.
