Way to go, fellow pooches! You’ve done us all proud.A Scottish Terrier wearing a tartan coat emblazoned with the country’s name led each of the 71 competing nations and territories into the stadium.
Apparently there were only 41 dogs on duty, so some did a double shift with costume change of course! Long ways to walk for their little legs. It must have been an overwhelming experience. You know how we are – a bit unpredictable.
Most walked confidently, others were all over the place and some decided not to walk.
And this morning they were on the BBC Breakfast Show! I think that’s the dog that got carried with Team Malaysia.
This is Hamish and he walked for Team Scotland
May’s comment: That was the best and most innovative thing to happen at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony!!! Well done, Scotties.
Love the satchels the owners were carrying!
