It was a Bloody Mary kind of weekend

And it took us a whole week later to recover from it! LOL!!!

That was a week ago on Saturday when we went to a doggy event at M Restaurant in Victoria.

The event started off with a cooking demonstration by their Master Chef on making dog treats! There were quite a few of us “interested” hoomans and pooches – really just waiting for some bacon and peanut butter cookies to come our way
And while waiting, lots of selfies (or we-fie) were in order! 🙂I was getting impatient. Where’s the food that you’re taking so long to prepare?I could smell them … real killer!

And finally they came! The chef was just putting the bowl down and I gulped it all up before he could even let go of the bowl! LOL!

They were short of a few dog models for the fashion show so they asked if they could try using us.  I was way too long for their coats. George was not chesty enough but he was rewarded for being fitted and got a “cigar” for patience.
Even Jaffa had a go but the coats were made for chesty beasts and not like us elegantly slim ones! 🙂After the Master Chef event was over and we had our treats, we headed into the restaurant but not before a photo call.I was bored, Jaffa was nervous and George turned out to be the poser – smiling and looking handsome!

We were sat at our tableNext to other hoomans  and pooches of course. And watched all the ongoing activities …As more and more pooches arrived for their photo call.So let’s see what’s on the menu? That all sounds delicious!!!  We’ll have the Rump Steak, Chicken breast, cookies please!

Soon the fashion show began and we watched intently as to what the trend is for pooches these days.

Did you get the gist of it? Hoomans and pooches are trending the same look! The hoomans looked on but I think the bigger dogs were thinking –There’s not a lot in it for us.Only for small dogs. All clothes were by Tail-or Made

At the event, Natalie Pritchard who wrote A Dog Lovers Dream also read a poem and we bought her books

and had her signed them for us.It was quite the event and we must go back soon to M Restaurant – they are happy to let us in even when it’s not a doggy event. It’s a grown-up proper restaurant – for properly behaved dogs! 🙂

May’s comment: Like mothers with children, when you have more than one, you start looking a bit frazzled – like me in this photo! LOL! The most unglamourous of photos I have taken. YIKES!

I haven’t dressed up for the photo call either.  Take note next time!

M Restaurant has always championed dog events and make it such a special for us dog owners who like nothing better than to enjoy life’s pleasures with the ones who are important to us. So we are always supportive of their efforts.

Their next doggy event will be for Valentine’s Day – date to be confirmed but it should be a love affair.

M Restaurant is a “glossy, happening scene with two restaurants (Grill or Raw), a clubby bar & an attached wine store.”  They hold dog events every quarter. Located at the Zig Zag Building, 74 Victoria St, London SW1E 6SQ
