After our journey of two taxis, two trains and a bus we arrived at Schloss Obermayerhofen in the rather quiet Austrian countryside.
We are here for Mummy’s friends, Sylvia and Markus’ wedding tomorrow. 
It is set in a castle dating from the 12th century.
There are only two rooms that are dog-friendly. They’re in a house just next to the castle. 
There’s a very big door leading into our room
The room has direct access to the gardens 
so that is rather helpful. 
It’s partly fenced in so Mummy just lets me out – and I do what I have to
And explore a little
And then checking in on Mummy as she sits typing away.
I wonder if she’s ever going to get off her computer and take a walk with me.
I’ll sit and look at the trees and the skies and listen to new sounds.
Finally! Mummy stood up and said the magic word, “Walkies?” Yes! I’ve been waiting.
We went to discover the grounds around the castle.

And checked out the building as well.
A lot of stairs and huge columns
Arches 
And more stairs
And in the courtyard we found cupid – I guess his role is to shoot his love arrows at all the couples being wed at this venue.
The other guests are arriving throughout the day. The first event will take place this evening but we needed a little kip from all that travelling.

May’s comment: Schloss Obermayerhofen is in the picturesque hilly landscape of the Styrian spa region. It is owned by the Count Kottulinsky family. A venue for lots of weddings.
