Mum took me to an art exhibit today by Charlie Mackesy.
These are drawings and stories of friendship, compassion and love as told by the horse, the boy, the fox and the mole.
Mum bought three of his signed prints. I think she bought two for Little Tyke and Mini Tyke.
I think she’s keeping this for herself.
Charlie said, “… life is precious and faith is a journey and sometimes art can give a small glimpse of these moments seen, and unseen.” That’s exactly what his drawings are about. They are precious moments amongst friends and words that says what we feel but never really say.
And amongst the crowds, I had my picture taken with the man himself!
May’s comment: My friend Jane introduced me to Charlie Mackesy’s Instagram handle – @charliemackesy – and I have since been mesmerised by his drawings and the simple and truthful thoughts that goes with each one – thoughts that our hearts yearn to hear.
His drawings are full of compassion and kindness.
These are just a few of the many, many drawings.
The exhibition is at Gallery 8, 8 Duke Street, St. James. It opened yesterday to a crowd of fans
and will stay on till this Saturday, 24th November.

Thank you for introducing me to this wonderful artist. He reminds me of a mix of A.A.Milne and Antoine de Saint-Exubery. I’m going now to follow him on Instagram.
