Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.
It is nature’s finale in a burst of colour.
Leaves falling from trees is a goodbye wave from summer and a nod to the end of the year.
And the colder nights force us indoors to find contentment at home.
It’s a nostalgic time of year and a time when we are reminded to give thanks for all we have.
And then the anticipation of Christmas lights twinkling in the long darkened nights make us feel hopeful again.
May’s comment: Autumn vibes. It’s that time of year when the autumnal colours brighten up the grey winter days. But everything gets a little bit more gemütlich (a German word to convey the idea of a state or feeling of warmth, friendliness, and good cheer).
The season beckons the end of year and nature’s final herald with a burst of colours. Goodbye Summer. And we brace ourselves for the winter days – and the start of a new year.
