I mean, this is First Aid for hoomans to assist us if something unfortunate should happen.
We attended this First Aid for Dogs hosted by Love My Human.

During the break, Fred and I got to practice resuscitation –
But I was quickly distracted – there were more interesting things than a plastic dog.

And I almost got to some red velvet cupcake!!! But the hoomans caught me red-handed – with some evidence on my face.

But despite that I still got my certificate!

Mum bought the First Aid kit for the just-in-case scenarios at home and the orange packet is for our travels – and that dreaded thermometer that goes up the bum!

May’s comment: Thank you Love My Human for making this possible.
Fab session! The instructor, Heather was brilliant. She touched on all the basic things we needed to know, the vital signs, what to look out for and how to handle situations.
We practiced resuscitation on a mannequin dog. In some instances it was helpful to have our dogs around to identify where best to feel their pulse, feeling their ribs and a few other things.

There are groups that organise these courses but you can also get I touch with www.dog-first-aid.com/surrey

Aw I love this! It’s so important that our humans know what to do if things go wrong isn’t it? It looks like you had lots of fun too.
Wonderful . I have got to attend one of these.
What a wonderful event! I must find one, or at least talk to our vet or the doggie day care to organize something like this!
Quite a nice number of hoomans got there certificates and are ready to help the doggie population, if needed. Good show!
Dr McSteamy got Lola’s pulse racing????
