After two weeks at Precious Pooch, Tracy took me to have my first groom at a place in Notting Hill called Purple Bone – sounded delicious but there were no bones! It was a place with lots of interesting smells and things – food and toys.
After I was all washed, fluffed and smelling good, Mummy re-appeared in my life – where was she all this time?
She approved of the way I smelled but thought I needed a hair cut. Thankfully they told her I was too young to be groomed because I would never stand still long enough! It was traumatic enough being drenched with water and all that goo stuff they call shampoo.
I was shoved in one of those dog backpack carriers which weren’t all that bad. I was carried home, which kept my nice fresh smell and I didn’t have to tire out my little puppy legs. Finally, we were at home!
Then along with Tracy, we went for our first walk in the park. I think Mummy was learning how to handle me. She was awkward, to say the least. Tracy laughed and told Mummy she looked like she’s in disbelief that she has a dog.
They let me run around Hyde Park and kept calling my name – and I knew if I go to them, I get treats. So it was all a game. Let me run, then tease me with treats so I will run back to them. I can do that all day. It did go on for awhile before we went home … and Tracy left. Now where did she go?
