Rescue dogs often go unnoticed, their true potential overlooked. Gems Reimagined is a colourful photographic series that aims to change this perspective.

Earlier in the year, Elena of Pawtiqe and Anabela Chan Joaillerie collaborated on Gems Reimagined to raise funds for Wild at Heart Foundation. Each dog is captured in clean portraits wearing sustainable, lab-grown gemstone necklaces, highlighting their unique personalities.
These gemstones serve as a metaphor for transformation. Just as the necklaces enhance their beauty, adoption allows these dogs to shine in a new light. The series illustrates that any dog can thrive when given a chance, challenging perceptions and raising awareness about their incredible potential, both as companions and as individuals ready to love.

Anabela absolutely loved how beautiful the pups looked in her necklaces, so much that they’ve collected all the portraits into a single, elegant 2025 calendar to help dogs in need worldwide.

George and Lulu, were once upon a time was part of the 600 million dogs stray dogs in the world. Today, they are giving back to help those who still looking for a home.

These calendars are no on sale here.

Pawtiqe, founded by photographer Elena Marchi, Pawtiqe brings a unique, monochrome approach to dog photography, creating elegant, minimalistic, and often quirky black & white portraits. With the belief that “dog is art,” Elena treats every subject with the same care and reverence as any fine art portrait. Her work highlights the individuality of each dog, embracing their imperfections and quirks, and stripping away the unnecessary – including colour – to let them take centre stage.
Pawtiqe partners with rescue charities and creates annual projects to raise awareness about rescue dogs and their potential to thrive. Elena’s goal is to challenge perceptions and show the world that every dog, regardless of their past, deserves to be seen, valued, and celebrated.
