Happiest Holidays

Happiest Holidays

It’s been a six-week long build up to the fourth Advent Sunday.

It started off with a Christmas train ride in mid-November
with our doodle friends from Camber Sands
And you know Christmas celebrations have begun when Winter Wonderland arrives at Hyde Park.
And Christmas lights were appearing everywhere
At Bond Street
We even went on a horse carriage ride to take in the lights around Sloane Square –
Look at Mum photobombing us!
At a pub in Kensington
Snowflakes on Sloane Street
And on Sloane Square
Colourful lights along Carnaby Street
Trying to “wear” the crown.
At Mandarin Oriental Hotel – just another of the many stunning Christmas decorations all over London
A giant stag at Covent Garden
And just a reminder of what can possibly happen when you leave shopping to the last minute!
The Ivy Chelsea Garden never disappoints
Neither does Annabel’s
Check out their Christmas tree!
Another very big tree outside the Rosewood Hotel
Inside Rosewood Hotel
At Mandarin Oriental
We had parties – this one for our doodle friends in Brigit’s Afternoon Tea bus
We had on board 29 pooches and 42 hoomans
Smaller gatherings for Christmas lunch at Bluebird’s Narnia cabins
Christmas Afternoon Tea at Dominique Ansel
Another Christmas dinner with poochie friends
And friends came to visit – Hilary from New Jersey
Deborah from California
We lit the first menorah candle
And all eight candles on the menorah
All the Christmas shopping has now been done.
We attended a Christmas Carol service
We attended a Christmas theatre – The Greatest Snowman
We’ve done our Nativity play
We finally met Father Christmas
And an IMPOSTOR!!!
Our Advent Calendar has one more door left to open
And today we light the four candles on our Advent wreath
And all the Christmas lights continue to light the winter nights …
Those antler head gear have been put away – till the next year.

May’s comment: And so we wind down as we light our last Advent candles.

It has been a busy six weeks leading up to Christmas – whether it was going around to enjoy the beautiful lights, meeting with friends, attending all the social gatherings, shopping of presents. They have been uplifting and we’ve enjoyed sharing them with you.

As we go to our nearest and dearest to celebrate Christmas in whichever we do so, we wish you the happiest of holidays.
