Flowers for Madiba

We went to pay our respects to Nelson Mandela at his statue on Parliament Square.

There were lots of people gathered around, and lots of reporters.

People have laid flowers and candles – with notes and flags, etc.

We brought some flowers to say thank you for being a symbol of hope and reconciliation – for believing in what is right and dedicating his life to bringing right from wrong.

It was a beautiful morning … and even though the light of this one life has been put out, because of him, there is hope for many, many others.

  1. How moving your message, how Nelson Mandala brought out the best in every body who admired him. Thank you for the wonderful photos to match the text!

    1. An example of a man with conviction and fought for what he believe. How amazing is that?!?!
