I HEART NYC

IMG_3073

Here we are in NYC! Bright blue sunny skies but cold! There are remnants of snow on the ground – black snow. But they are piled up along the sidewalk.Hurry up with the photo, Mummy! It’s very cold on my feet.

I met George, the doorman. Mummy told him that I was named after him – she lied! We all know I was named after Mr. Clooney, but she wanted the doorman to feel appreciated. 🙂

There are lots of interesting things to discover in this big city.  On the other hand we can’t find any restaurant that would allow us in. Their health and safety rules are not the same as in the UK. We learnt that it’s due to the uncertainty that not all dogs have been properly vaccinated against diseases, they have to take precaution – that no diseases are being spread by us.  And someone also explained that therapy and guide dogs are allowed into any areas that serve food is because they all have to be properly health-checked. Fair enough. We can dine outside with our hoomans because though the diseases can still be spread but not within a contained area. 😉

We couldn’t go into any food shops either with Mummy – though a bit more lenient in London, here is an absolutely no-no. This is where Mummy goes everyday and I have to stay outside with all the other dogs.  There are always a few of us waiting for our humans to buy food.(Mummy: I do not like doing this but there’s no choice. And at this, our residential neighbourhood deli where you buy take-outs, dogs are always tied up outside, and everyone looks after everyone else’s dogs.)

Why do they let everyone in But not dogs?

After Mummy sorted out her food, we went in search of raw food for me …Quite a few to choose from.  We decided to go with Vital grain free raw – maybe because they’re familiar rolls. So we’re sorted for our stay. Mummy’s got food, and I’ve got food. Now let the adventure begin.

May’s comment:  We’re here! Been so busy running around and meeting friends. Will write more later about the friends we have met.

  1. I’m a bit confused, are you in NYC or Washington D.C.? You’ve posted pictures from both places. Anyway, I’m glad you’re having a good time. I’m sorry you’re not allowed in most places, London is so much more accommodating than cities here in the states.
Can’t wait to read about more of your adventures!

  2. Enjoy your time you two! If you could let me know what you think of the rascals myself and my two poos are moving to Texas next year from The New Forest, UK and need to find a good raw food over there xx
