Looking forward to Dorset

This week Mummy is going to be doing something she has always wanted to do – attend a writing course! And lucky me, I get to go along. Why? Because we will be at Burton Brandstock and she loves seeing me run along the beach.IMG_9686-580x580-2We were there earlier in the year, or rather at the end of last year – on New Year’s Eve.  This time we will be staying at The Seaside Boarding House – just past the Hive Beach Cafe. 01_E01GROUCHO_1132168k“What about George?” I hear you ask. Well, it’s a little difficult and maybe a bit absurd to attend a course with two dogs. So, George gets to stay with his BFF, Jaffa.  Besides, George doesn’t like water!  It would be wasted on him. LOL!

May’s comment:  A writing workshop at Burton Bradstock – pretty idyllic

The opportunity to listen in on structuring, to pacing and even how to pitch your story. To do all that at a lovely destination such as Burton Bradstock. And I always find the beach provides a sense of cleansing, washing away the cobwebs of ones mind as I watch the waves sweep in and pulling out.

This is a Cornerstone writing workshop that we’ll be attending. For now, Darcy gets to stay with the hotel staff at the dog-friendly Seaside Boarding House during Day 1, and if no one objects, she may get to join me on Day 2!

And then to be able to walk with Darcy on the beach!

We were at Burton Bradstock over New Year’s and went to Hives Beach Cafe, but had not noticed The Seaside Boarding House then. Really looking forward to it. Hopefully, we won’t be washed away by strong waves which we had encountered on New Year’s Eve.

  1. What a great experience Mummy will have taking a writing course while you’re enjoying your time at the Seaside Boarding House! Hope you get to accompany her to the course the 2nd day! What fun to be back in Dorset!

  2. I have been a business and PR writer/editor many decades. I have never taken a writing course or been on assignment at such a scenic place as Burton Bradstock. Enjoy.

Maybe you will be encouraged to write a book (or books) dealing with your great dog experiences

    1. Hi Daniel, I am hoping it will inspire me! Been meaning to write but just get so bogged down with the little things.

  3. How exciting May. I think you are more than competent in the writing dept. I am an avid reader of your blogs and so look forward to them each day.

  4. I enjoy what you guys are up too. This sort of clever work and coverage!
Keep up the amazing works guys I’ve added you guys to my blogroll.

  5. Be very careful with Darcy on the beach as the sea is dangerous there and it shelves very severely! She could easily get swept out, please be careful.

    1. Yes was warned by the people at BB. I also never let her off lead when I am walking on the cliff edge. So not a very relaxed walk!
