When Barkers of Muswell Hill heard it was my birthday, they also sent along a basket of goodies!!! More treats!!!! THANK YOU!
I am the luckiest dog in the world!!!!
Mummy bought me a new collar from Mungo & Maud – she thought the blush and tan combination blended in nicely with my coat. Sometimes a collar can be smart but sometime she feels like I am constantly in captivity – like wearing an ankle bracelet/cuff so the person can be tracked. Yes, in fact that’s why we have a collar – so a leash could be attached and if lost, there’s information on the tag attached to the collar. She understands the need for it but on me, she rather it be more subtle.
But my birthday celebrations did not end there. Soon after we arrived home from our Hyde Park meet, we went to Kings Cross Station and jumped on a very crowded train to Oakham. Not quite this train. This might have been a more comfortable journey.
We went to spend the night at Hambleton Hall (more later) and then for lunch the next day at a very special place – The Olive Branch in Clipsham – the very place where our story began – definitely more later!
May’s comment: Been looking for a collar that suited Darcy. We’ve tried every colour and webbing or leather – finally found one that blended in nicely with her colour. We’ve always had strong colours – purple, red, brown – never thought of a neutral colour. Have we finally found the perfect collar? I doubt it. But for now, it’s perfect! 😉
My dog gets more cards and birthday presents than I do!
