New BFF or BF?

Mum’s been wondering why I seem to have a skip in my step to get going whenever I get picked up for Day Care.

I don’t even have one last look at Mum. I say to Emma, “Let’s hurry! I want to go play.”

Then one morning, the girls told Mum my secret. I have a new ‘best friend.’ His name is Flynn.

“Oh?” she looked at me, querying. Yup!

“Mum, meet Flynn.” He is quite a swashbuckler, plays rough! But I love it!

We are such a Hollywood couple – leggy blonde and short leading man,

Or am the Cougar? LOL!

May’s comment: Darcy has a new boyfriend!!!

It has been such a long time since she has been giddy in love. Once upon a time when she was two, Rocko was the love of her life. They couldn’t get enough of each other.

But Rocko went on to be a stud dog and he no longer had eyes for Darcy though she still gets really excited when she runs into him on the streets. Sadly he doesn’t feel the same about her any more.

Then there was Barnaby, they were ‘dating’ for awhile. He’s the tall dark handsome serious type and didn’t like to romp around.

And along came Freddie, well he was the older man and definitely not into romping. LOL! Yes, there were a few others along the way …

Darcy’s has a preference for younger ‘doods’. Yes, there was Humphrey at the House of Mutt. She wasn’t very nice to him. Whenever she arrived at the House of Mutt, feeling a little unsure she would find comfort in Humphrey but as soon as she got the lay of the land, she would leave him to play with the youngsters. She was a bit of a user. Bad girl.

Darcy goes a couple of days to Man’s Best Friend Kensington and Chelsea – and she has the best fun with the pack.

She gets to play and mingle with all different breeds of dogs.

There’s a whole range of medium and small dogs – all from West London …

but there sure are a lot of doodles! LOL!

On the mornings they come to pick her up, she would bark a hello and tail wagging goes to greet them – and she trots off without even looking back.

And all day long, she runs and runs and plays.

There are lots of agility equipment for the dogs to go on.

And she constantly goes on them.

For those who prefer to stay on level ground, there are other options

Lots of toys too.

There are also games of tug-o-war with balls

Or wrestling each other – Flynn does that a lot with Darcy

There’s always the loner.

And when it gets too hot, they cool down in the paddling pools.

Come one, come all!

But it is not all just running around. There’s also a lot of cuddles for everyone pooch!

Sometimes Georgie goes along. He really prefers to stay home with me. He has become such a Mummy’s boy. But when he gets there, he has the best time too.

When he’s there, the dynamics changes. Darcy eggs him on. George doesn’t really play with the others.

Though they are curious about him.

And when it all gets too hot, there’s always the shade …

At the end of each day when she’s home around half three, she’s a very happy girl …

She has a drink of water and snores for the rest of the afternoon! It’s a good life!
