The Many Lives of Face Masks

IMG_2668

Have you got your face masks or face coverings?

It’s a new fashion statement these days …

It doesn’t have to be boring.

Sometimes hoomans wear them under the chin when they are walking about, ready to put them on when they enter enclosed spaces. Mum says it helps to cover up ‘double chins’ – LOL!

In hot weather it can be bothersome, but when the weather turns cooler, the face masks actually keeps you warm.

You know, you can use them as eye masks when you go to sleep

It can also be worn as a head band!

There are many usages for it. Don’t give up on them.

When it all began, Mum wore the surgical face mask

Someone wrote in her Facebook post that she was really disappointed with Mum’s choice of facemarks!!! Rude!

That got her going. Thankfully a friend in Frankfurt was making them and she got some to Mum.

That’s a lot better!

Since then she found some at Liberty’s when lockdown eased. Now there are ads popping up everywhere for face masks. A lot of fashion brands are making them now so you can find ones to match your outfit.

And we keep finding them left on the streets – hoomans seem to lose their face masks all over the place!

Well, heard that even the rats are finding them useful!

May’s comment: In England, the new Corona Virus prevention has made face coverings compulsory in enclosed public spaces such as shops, supermarkets, indoor shopping centres, transport hubs, public transport, banks. With so many more people out and about and irresponsible individuals I honestly feel safer wearing them. This is only a small ask to help stop the virus and allow us to get on with life.

Love the pretty prints from Liberty’s

All these and the ones that Beate had made for me can be washed so no fear that Darcy held them in her mouth! LOL!

Let’s continue to stay alert, stay safe and let’s STOP the virus from spreading!
