Our Journey to Berlin – London to Harwich

All packed and we’re off! Poor Mummy … she’s got George in a bag, me attached to a strap across her body so she can have her hands free.

So off we went first in a taxi to Liverpool Train Station. We got there early so we jumped on an earlier train.IMG_6438 George was a little uncertain – so he was a bit wriggly. Mummy had to hold onto him.IMG_6441 As I take my usual place – under the seat is where I like to be.IMG_6443 George got a lot of attention – as always.  This little boy was really sweet. He kept saying to his sister – “how can you not love that face?!” IMG_6451 But I was ready to get off … think we took the slow train.IMG_6452 And George, he never stopped looking around – he must be wondering what’s going on. Thankfully he is so dinky, Mummy can totally handle him.IMG_6456Three stations before we got to our stop, I got restless and was ready to get off.
IMG_6463 We had to change trains for Harwich International.  By then, both George and I were tired and we fell asleep on the last leg of the journey.  Apparently this always happens to me. I would be keen to see what’s around and then just before we get off, I’m bored by then and fall asleep. George is doing the same thing.IMG_6468 We finally arrived at Harwich International.  A lovely gentleman helped Mummy with her bag as she took us up the stairs and down the stairs before we got to the taxi rank.IMG_6474Mummy’s so so pleased that she had the great idea to stop for the night.  A taxi took us to The Pier – a small hotel on the Quay.

IMG_6476May’s comment: Part 1 of our journey to Berlin. Great idea to stop for the night – knackered after a hectic morning and then the train journey. We started off on our journey at 3:15pm and got to The Pier Hotel by 6pm. So not so bad. Tomorrow, an early start and then on the ferry – for almost 7 hours.  Can’t wait to get to the hotel for a quiet evening.
