Some day soon …

It would have been our March Haye Park Doodle Meet today – it’s been a whole year that we haven’t seen our friends!

Over the past year we’ve had so many doodles asking to join our group when we meet up again. We can’t wait and as you can imagine there will be quite a few puppies.

Even in our neighbourhood, we have Cooper (labradoodle) in our Mansion Block.

Isn’t he so handsome?

And last week when Mum was at the Post Office, there was a cutie pie that she helped to look after when he wasn’t allowed in. And since then, we have become friends with Zac – who is an Irish Doodle!

Both Zac and Cooper are around the same age and we thought it would be really fun for them to meet up, so we organised a mini doodle meet-up.

Now, you must know that this was a very important milestone for Zac. This was the very first time he had been let off the leash.

Yes, his mum was nervous but we were in a very safe place. Also his curiosity about the world would be distracted by other pups. And sure enough he was.

While I noisily chased George and then we had our usual spat – LOL!

Zac and Cooper played and played.

In the distance, we spotted Hazel – a Poochon. We’ve met before. She shyly looked on as we played.

But we soon went over to her and we did a mini doodle dash.

So in the end, it turned out to be a mini-doodle meet with social distancing in place.

After an hour, the puppies were pooped and had to be carried …

It was fun! And we can’t wait for Zac and Cooper to meet all our other doodle friends – when we can meet up again.

May’s comment: To all the original Hyde Park Doodle (formerly Cockapoo) members – do you remember when our poos did the doodle dash. We would stand around and beam with joy. Our babies have now grown and “too cool for school” so it was with great joy to see these two puppies play.

We hope that if all goes well, we may be able to meet by end of July. And if ALL goes really well, we’ll let you know if the end of June might be a possibility. We so look forward to seeing you all again.
