Mummy didn’t realise that Praewa has been showing us photos of her and Zeus.
It was an unexpected love affair. Mummy is not so comfortable with big dogs, especially such powerful ones like Zeus is.
In fact a lot of people are a bit wary of big dogs. They don’t have a good reputation.
He is definitely big and as Mummy realised when walking him – he’s very strong and powerful.
When I pull when walking, Mummy can pretty much control me. But she has to make sure she’s holding on the leash with two hands. And when Zeus gets excited and starts pulling, she really has to put her whole body weight to hold him back. He’s not a very well trained dog but that is not his fault.
Yet, he is such a sweetie pie. He is hardly a guard dog. He doesn’t bark when strangers enter their apartment. LOL! At least I bark at the postman and most men when they make deliveries.
And amazingly, he loves a good cuddle. Though he wasn’t so sure about it at first, because he’s not exactly a lap dog, he first jumped up on Mummy’s bed, sat and stared down at her – which I am sure was rather imposing. The second night he jumped onto the sofa bed and pursued to sleep on Mummy’s pillow.
He had no intention of moving when Mummy got into bed. And there he slept –
And he even snuggled up to put his head on Mummy’s shoulder – breathing heavily.
Needless to say he won Mummy over. So much so that when he left yesterday for the Hamptons – he left a big void.
Thankfully, our cousin Molly arrived from New Jersey to distract her.
It’s a good thing that Zeus left and Molly didn’t stay long or Mummy might have considered staying on longer.
We know because we have been watching those pictures flying through cyber space from New York to South Kensington!
