The Aftermath

IMG_4303

After all the fun had been had at our Doodle Meet, this is how we ended up.
No doubt the park was muddy particularly after a frosty week, the warmer weather meant the top layer of the ground is a layer of mud.

When humans ask Mummy why she dresses us funny – this is why she likes us in our onesies during these winter months All the dirt is usually on our underbelly and the legs.Once the suit comes off, I look completely clean and the only tell-tale sign are my paws.

But we have a big BUT here. Mummy, today is the second day of the Lunar New Year and I think superstition has it that to ensure good luck for the rest of the year, we should not wash our hair. So what do we do?

What did you say? We’re not Chinese dogs? Darn! Thought we could get away with it.

After rinsing off our muddy paws (washing away possible good luck), including Mummy’s muddy boots –We were knocked out!
For hours!May’s comment: Mission accomplished. Quiet Sunday afternoon after a morning of socialising followed by a session of rinsing off paws, cleaning mud off the boots and wiping off the muddy paw marks on the thankfully waterproof coat, we settled down to watch the replay of the Australian Open tennis finals. An epic match, with two opponents we thought we would never see again – it was amazing! It was all in all a good day.

  1. Hi Miss Darcy, you may remember me..? It’s Roxy from The Doghouse BB&B Bruges!

I LOVE your orange Onesie and Mum wants to know where you got it from because she says I’m a bit (a lot) of a Mud Magnet 😉

    Thanks 🙂 x

    1. Hi Roxy, of course I remember you. The onesies are from Equafleece – you can buy them online. And Mummy wants to buy your towels! X

  2. May I just found the Equafleece online. What size do George and Darcy wear? I think Pippa and Harvey will be the same size. Those coats look like they will be a welcome rescue for my muddy pups!!
    Thanks!
