Holding on tightly

Oh, those tempting waters, Georgie. IMG_1908Oh those ducks a-swimming!IMG_1910

But this time Mummy was prepared for the “dare-devilness” of Georgie-Porgie.

The last time we were near a body of water, he tried jumping into the canals while we were bunting along the Fenland Waterways in Cambridge.

This time, George, it’s not a canal.  The River Thames is a MAJOR waterway of London.  There would be no saving you if you attempted one of your unpredictable antics.

So Mummy took all precautions. She fastened his leash to her body and held him tightly and close to her while they waited for the Oxford-Cambridge men’s boat race to go past our viewpoint.

Georgie observed all ongoings from above – note Mummy’s hand clutching on tightly! LOL!IMG_1896

He loved the wind blowing in his face and his little nose twitched at all the new smells of the river.

But Georgie preferred running around with Sam, a border terrier.IMG_1926 He wasn’t as fast as Sam but George was really smart and took short-cuts to catch Sam.IMG_1933May’s comment: It turned out to be a beautiful Spring day to watch the boat race. And thankfully no George-type incidents!
