The Lady and the Rogue

IMG_5599

After tea at The Montague, we went to The Savoy where Aunty Elizabeth was staying. We couldn’t have tea there as pets are not allowed but we could visit.
IMG_5589They were very welcoming and was happy to have me go into their lobby so we had a look around –IMG_5591 loved the beautiful flower arrangement and chandelierIMG_5596It’s a “small” dog-friendly hotel (less than 20lbs) – darn! I just missed the mark. LOL!  And dogs are not allowed in any of their restaurants.  All that and it’s little out of the way for us.  And the further we move away form our neighbourhood, we find fewer and fewer places that are dog-friendly. We are quite spoilt where we live.

Before we left, we had a look at Boodles.IMG_5605So while we were nosing around here, Georgie Porgie was running like a Mad Hatter in Hyde Park. Come to think of it he would have been afraid of the different floor spaces – he would have put on all four brakes! 🙂

Instead he was with Fonzie. His mummy had taken them both for a playdate.IMG_5624And he couldn’t have been happier – can you tell? IMG_5614IMG_5623 IMG_5622Come on, George! You’ve slowed down –
IMG_5621Is it because of the weight you’ve put on?IMG_5620Fonzie and George stopped for a moment to investigate something interesting …IMG_5617 And then he’s off againIMG_5618 Running by himself – or seeking out squirrelsIMG_5619 And before long a cockapoo arrivedIMG_5616 And the doodle dash began!IMG_5615Speedy Gonazalez, rather George!!!

And all suddenly they stopped in their tracks for – treats!IMG_5611

Ahem, you talking about me? I’m party to this blog too, you know!  IMG_5612Honestly, George, I would probably have been happy there too, but I also like being with Mummy.IMG_5625

May’s comments: Looking at those photos actually made me realise it’s been awhile since I took my dogs to the park and miss seeing them run around like lunatics – wild about being able to run.  My dogs, especially in the last two months have come to think that life is one big park run and after that, slumber on someone’s sofa or bed. They have been so spoiled by so many wonderful hoomans!
