“Old Mother Hubbard
Went to the cupboard,
To give the poor dog a bone;
When she came there,
The cupboard was bare,
And so the poor dog had none.”
It may not have been the cupboard that Mummy went to but the freezer/fridge – and the drawer was pretty bare!
Thankfully “Old Mother Hubbard” aka Mummy Dearest was quick on the phone yesterday and had them ordered. They were delivered in time for our supper.
Honey’s Real Dog food is delivered frozen in a big box. Now, if George ate all that food – he would weigh twice as much as he does now – which will be more than me! Thankfully that box of food is to be shared.
This time we also received a book that came in the box – about weight loss by Vicky Marshall from Honey’s Real Dog Food.
It’s somewhat timely. I am by no means overweight but I can do with a little weight loss. Mummy is putting me on a strict diet and exercise regime for the next two weeks as I have to get on a plane. I need to weigh in under 10 kg. I usually hover just under 10kg but we don’t want to create obstacles for ourselves. So I am having my protein, little or no treats and lots of running. When we get to Malta, I can gorge!!! No? Oh, I guess I have to get back on a plane to come back. Bummer!

Have fun in Malta!

PS. Did you know my ancestors came from Malta and I’m known as a “Maltese?”
Yes, many many years ago I was bred from a miniature Spaniel and a Poodle.’my primary job was as a lap dog and ladies would put us in their sleeves to keep us warm while riding in the cold carriages of yore.
Love, Bennie
Another PS. Darcy, when your Mommy visited in the states she introduced me to faux Darcy. I would like to meet you in person!
This is what I don’t understand about people being sniffy about “designer dogs”. All our wonderful “pure Breeds” were once upon a time bred from two others by people looking for particular qualities in their pooches. It’s just that it was many years ago.
How exciting you’re going to Malta!!! My family is from this lovely archipelago where George is a very popular name. St. George is the patron saint of my mom’s village, Qormi. I’m way over due for a visit to embrace our numerous relatives. I look forward to see your pics.
