It seemed like only yesterday when Ellen and Kai arrived back in London, home from Dubai for the holidays – but today they’re already leaving to go back to Dubai.
So as a farewell, we went to have tea at The Milestone Hotel. Upon arrival, immediately greeted by the staff.
We were sat at a table in The Park Lounge – which was a special favour.
You can dine with your dogs at the hotel but in The Conservatory. We’ve been in both but had only learnt that it is due to the discretion of the hotel manager of the day of dining whether you and your dog can be seated for afternoon tea at The Park Lounge – i.e. if none of their clients minded having dogs there. I guess the other guests were fine with dogs that day.
Mummy did ask how we compared with noisy children – do they get sent off to The Conservatory as well? LOL!
George and I sat in the corner and not one peep from us.
The waitress loved having us there. She offered us a bowl of water immediately – which we appreciated
And later, as the hoomans were finishing off tea, she brought us a piece of ham each.
Now that’s what we call first class service!
Looking longingly at those two pieces of deliciousness!
But then it was time to say “Zàijiàn” to Ellen and Kai, or wait, shouldn’t it be “mae alssalma” since they’re off to Dubai!
We’ll miss them and can’t wait to see them again.
P.S. Kai is the “boy who wanted a dog but not any more” after he took the “poo test” – LOL! But he still loves George!
May’s comment: Always enjoy the company of good friends. Whenever Ellen is back from Dubai, we always see each other to catch-up. We lead such different lives but so much to share. And always sad to see them go.
The Milestone Hotel is part of the Red Carnation Hotel Group – usually dog-friendly. We are in fact going to be staying at one of their hotels in Dorset.
