We hear a rumble

Mummy, we hear thunder … I think we better stay with you – IMG_1025 Even though you’re in the showerIMG_1028 More thunder and in comes Georgie …IMG_1029 George doesn’t understand thunder nor fireworksIMG_1030And he doesn’t like water either. So a bit of dilemma for him – should he stay outside in the hall on his way or come into the bathroom with us while Mummy was having a shower. IMG_1031But there was no space for him on the bath mat.

May’s comment: Thunder rumbled out of nowhere. The weather had been unpredictable – dawn was so bright it woke me up at 4am and by 9am there was a downpour. Throughout the day, it was clouded over, the sun came out, it was warm and relatively humid and then it would have downpours that lasted for five minutes – and on and on it has been this way for a week now. And then the thunder came.

Charlie usually follows me into the bathroom no matter what. (Yes, he’s back!) Darcy only comes in to sit on the bathmat when I am in the shower. Not George. He doesn’t like water, remember? So while Charlie and Darcy sat on the bathmat side-by-side, George was sitting in the hallway. When thunder sounded, he hurried in … perplexed. He doesn’t understand loud sounds outside. He doesn’t like loud sounds. Even at supper time, when I noisily open the air tight container with their food, he runs away till I am dishing food into their bowls. He shakes with fear when he hears fireworks. With lighting, he just stares and wonders what the noise is.

So when thunder rumbled, he came into the bathroom – there’s security in company. And he sat looking out – wondering what the noise was. And there they sat – all three of them. I loved their company too! It’s lucky we have frameless glass doors for our shower, otherwise, they might have freaked out a little not being able to see me!

And why do I have a phone when in the shower, I hear you ask. I always have my phone with me, don’t you – especially when sitting on the loo – you can get a few emails out or update your Instagram! LOL! It so happened to be on the sink and there was a photo op and reached over to get it. 🙂
