Through the 2024 Haute Dogs Calendar, Awon is delighted to be supporting Harbin Slaughter House Survivors, the rescue that brought us Lulu.

May’s comment: More than just a calendar, Haute Dogs is a lifeline for pooches in need.
Awon Golding, renowned London milliner created the first Haute Dogs Calendar in 2018, having been inspired to raise funds for dog rescue after adopting Stevie, her beloved Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
Each year, the calendar raises vital funds for a different local or international dog rescue charity, in collaboration with Awon’s network of leading international milliners.
Now in its sixth year, the annual Haute Dogs Calendar has raised over £70,000 for international dog rescue charities. The 2024 calendar has currently raised more than £20,000 for Harbin SHS Animal Rescue, an amazing charity rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs saved from the illegal meat trade in China.
Founded by Emily, Hayley and Aimee in 2016, they began rescuing dogs in Harbin, north-eastern China, from neglect, abuse and the illegal dog meat trade. The team takes dogs into their care, funds their veterinary and rehabilitation treatment before rehoming them with loving families across the world.
Awon had teamed up again with Lucy Reeve of You and the Dog to photograph these amazing piccies of dogs with hats.
Lulu arrived in London after all the photos have been taken. But Lulu, George and I were invited to try on these hats and have our photos by Lucy.
