for the Queen’s birthday!
Mummy and some of the restaurants and retail around our neighbourhood have been planning a doggy street party for the 12th June.
Georgie went to some of the planning meetings …
sitting on the lap of Rebecca from Jonathan Cooper Gallery
Wandering around looking for the next victim to jump on.
Lying in the sun in one place and then moving to the next spot.
While the hoomans discussed the logistics of planning!
May’s comment: #BarkWalk Street party will take place on the day of the Queen’s official birthday celebrations on the 12th June which is also the day of The Patron’s Lunch on The Mall, but we are hosting our own – and the only doggy street party!!!!
We managed to get together the three main dog-friendly restaurants along Park Walk to anchor the street party, supported by other dog-friendly bars and clubs nearby.
There will be a few dog-retailers at hand to sell their wares and a Pet Pavilion Doggy Disco to bring some music and dancing to the street. The Pet Spa will provide some on the spot grooming while Pet Pyjamas will be handing out information about dog-friendly holidays.
At the Jonathan Cooper Gallery, an artist will be on hand to do on the spot 15 minute sketches.
There will also be raffle tickets for some amazing prizes!
The street party will be from 12-6pm on Park Walk, Chelsea (just off of Fulham Road). Percentage of proceeds from the day will go to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.
But before all this gets going at noon, please come along to St. Andrew’s Church on Park Walk to a service of Thanksgiving for Her Majesty (10:30 am). Dogs are God’s creatures and they are always welcome at the services.
