It’s seafood time!

We went a little further afield in search of another dog friendly seafood restaurant – all the way to Borough Market.

We first learnt about the Wright Brothers (no not the ones that flew in a plane) when we walked past their restaurant in South Kensington. img_6049It is an intimate dining room that feels like the bistros of Paris.img_6046We went in to inquire if dogs and oysters are a good mix.img_6047Yes, of course!  There are two small tables at the front of the restaurant where we always seem to be seated – so I think that’s the dog area.img_6038While we were chatting with the very friendly staff, they told us that the original Wright Brothers is in Borough Market. In fact there are four others restaurants. The one in Soho is outside seating only with dogs. We haven’t ventured to Spitalfields yet.

But off to Borough Market we went.img_9209We sat at the front of the restaurant by the bar area.
img_9212 There was a table of Japanese tourists and they were delighted to see me!img_9210 Mummy showed me the potted shrimp she ordered …img_9216Hmmm. That smells good.

And the fish pie!img_9225 She just wanted to show me the deliciousness and then I went down on the floor.img_9233This bar seating is not good for us. We can’t reach to see what the hoomans are eating!

May’s comment: Seafood time!

Wright Brothers Oyster & Porter House Borough Market– The original of the Wright Brothers restaurants in Borough Market. A seafood restaurant with a small dining room made up of a long oyster bar and high tables. There’s outside seating and we are also allowed inside the front part of the room. And we sat at the bar which was perfect – too high for Darcy to have a peek at what was ordered. 11 Stoney St, London SE1 9AD
img_9235Wright Brothers South Kensington – There are about four of them scattered throughout Central London and this one is closest to us. Right by South Kensington tube station, it is an intimate dining room that feels like the bistros of Paris. It is best described as an oyster bar and seafood nook. Again we are allowed inside and we have only sat at the tables in the front. 56 Old Brompton Rd, Kensington, London SW7 3DYimg_6045The other two Wright Brothers in Central London are in Soho (courtyard seating for dogs) and Spitalfields. There’s also a restaurant in Cornwall.

These restaurants and others are listed in the Wine & Dine tab of our blog.
