A Royal Thank You

IMG_4203

Do you remember the King Charles (Spaniel) Coronation mugs designed by the wonderful and talented Alice of @dogdogcatsdogs? (A Royal Cuppa)

We loved them so much, Mum thought the King and Queen might like them. So she sent a pair of them to Buckingham Palace back in April before the coronation. Well, we received not just a printed thank you card from King Charles III and Queen Camilla, but also a letter from Buckingham Palace to thank us specifically for the mugs.

When we told Alice about the letter, she was thrilled!!!

I remember being read A.A. Milne’s ‘Buckingham Palace’ when I was absolutely tiny … ‘They’re changing guard at Buckingham Palace – Christopher Robin went down with Alice’.  I believed the Alice in the poem was actually me, and my love of all things royal and regal was born!

It was such a thrill for me when George received the King and Queen’s thank you letter last week!

HIP! HIP! HOORAY!

May’s comment: You will get a chance to meet Alice of DogsDogsCatsDogs at The Big Woof – a celebration of International Dog Day and the dog-friendly neighbourhood that is King’s Cross.

Alice will be there with her other King Charles Spaniel coronation themed products: tea towels, greeting cards and coasters, amongst many other different breed-related products.

The free event will take place on 26th and 27th August.

Across the August Bank Holiday Weekend there will be a paw-some weekend of events for dogs and their humans from 11am to 6pm.

The area has an abundance of dog friendly restaurants for lunch and plenty of green spaces to take a break from the action.

The main aim of The Big Woof is for all pooches and their humans to have fun!

For years @missdarcys_adventures and @Fourleggedfoodies have championed dog friendly venues. And we are delighted to be working with King’s Cross to introduce “The Big Woof”. We look forward to a great weekend that celebrates how much we love our dogs.
