As soon as we got to our hotel in Poole, we headed right out to Branksome Beach. No wasting time!
While Jacqui and Mummy had lunch on the terrace at Branksome Beach Cafe, George looked out at the world – looking at all those dogs running along the beach. He’s only been to a beach one other time and he couldn’t wait to check this one out.
He didn’t know we were waiting for my friend Poppy to come join us.
So when Poppy arrived, we were off!!!
Sniffing the sands
Checking out the water
That was Miuccia’s first trip to the beach.
She wasn’t sure about the water at first …
But she was too curious and went back to investigate further
It didn’t take her long to get totally drenched!
We pooches loved running in and out of the water …

But Georgie did not quite take to it.
He watched us, always just on the edge
And ran away when the water washed up
We didn’t want him to feel left out, so we went to play with him on the sandy parts of the beach
Chasing each other like two crazy lunatics
Come on Georgie, it’s just water.
I loved running in it but not swim. But I also loved rolling in the sand
We walked from Bransome Beach to the Sandbanks, the Poole harbour and back. along the way I posed with “the Ikea lookalike lampshade” along the beach!
There are so many dogs – we even had our own bins for our poo!
May’s comment: The sun came out for us. What a beautiful day it turned out to be. Thank you Matt, Alex and Poppy for joining us for our walk!

Can you let me know which hotel you stayed in please – that is my favourite part of the world and would love to take Miley!
Hi Denise, we stayed at Hotel du Vin – in the old town. It’s a dog-friendly group of hotels – there are quite a few of them! x
As requested the sun came out and Poppy had a brilliant time playing with Darcy, George and Miuccia. Lovely to finally meet you George! We will have to do it again sometime and hopefully next time Roxy won’t be at School. x
We will definitely be back!!! We had such a lovely time! x
And maybe the nxt time we can visit the forestation.
