Why didn’t we cross the North Sea?
We are all back home and enjoying some down time – and sleeping in our own beds. Can’t believe we have been away for only 24 days.
Day 11: På gjensyn!
The final phrase in Norwegian means good-bye!
Day 10: Just when it feels like “home”
Today was our last full day at sea. Time to start packing up – and BIG Wheelie comes alive again tomorrow!
What next? A pig?
First Mummy abandoned us to meet huskies. And last night she left us to meet Oki.
Day 9: From where it all began
It’s the day before our last full day – and things were a little different today.
The Norwegian Way of Life
We are on our return journey and each port stop look familiar. We docked at Harstad at 07.45 this morning – and we remembered this one …
Day 8: A very long day
Sometimes things do not go according to plan. Yesterday was a rough day at sea …
And who might that be??!!
WHOA! You’re showing us these photos, Mummy? You mean to tell us that you abandoned us on the ship while you went to meet some huskies?!?!?! That’s unacceptable!
Day 7: Mummy had one more thing on her wishlist …
so she left us with Natasa to find that one last thing.
Day 6: Almost but not quite at the North Pole
There’s just the Barents Sea between us.
Christmas Magic
God jul! from Tromsø – Paris of the North!
Day 5: Getting ready for Christmas
Today we travel to Tromsø, the “Paris of the North”
Day 4: It’s beginning to look, feel, smell and sound …
like Christmas.
Crossing 66°33′ North
We were woken up by an announcement – the ferry was about to cross the Arctic Circle at 66°33′ north.
Day 3: A quiet, cosy in-cabin day
We woke up this morning to a stationary ferry – we’re in Trondheim!
Day 2: We met a troll in Ålesund
Mummy, the boat is docking at Måløy at 07.15. It looks very dark outside. Shall we go outside?
All aboard!
We are sailing, we are sailing …
